Design Services
- Complete vessel design - we have completed design projects
ranging from 6 – 80 metres in Steel, Aluminium and FRP.
- Project feasibility studies – Feasibility studies can
be provided for any design and range from simple reports covering
main details required for a preliminary costing through to full
technical studies incorporating local wave climate conditions,
loading and scheduling optimisation and cost estimates. A typical
preliminary feasibility study would include:
a) Concept general arrangement drawing
b) Basic structure calculation
c) Weight and material estimate
d) Preliminary stability review
e) Resistance and powering estimate
f) Basic specification
- Modifications - additions or extensions to existing vessels
- Vessel conversions – for many applications conversion
of an existing vessel can be substantially more cost effective
than building a whole new vessel.
- Machinery and ship systems design – We can supply designs
for machinery installations (Outboard motors, inboard engines
and stern drives), shafting arrangements, rudder and steering
gear arrangements, fitting of deck equipment and loading / unloading
equipment. We can also supply schematics drawings and equipment
lists for bilge systems, ballast systems, ships fuel and cargo
fuel transfer systems, fire protection systems etc.
- Computer cutting data
- Design reviews – we can review existing plans and provide
survey approval (in Queensland).

survey drawings required for survey approval.
