This project involved refitting some existing pontoons from a previously
retired dredge for use as a crane barge. The scope of work included:
- Preliminary Stability investigation for various pontoon configurations
to suit crane lifting loads
- Structural analysis of pontoon structure
- Design of supporting structure to allow the crane to be driven
on the deck to its mounting position.
- Design of crane mounting and securing structure.
- Production of approved structural drawings for the modifications
- Production of stability documentation to enable the vessel
to be put into QLD survey.
